What are the nearest metro stations to the office?
A:
We are conveniently located nearby NOMA Gallaudet Station (red line), at the intersection of New York Ave. and 1st St. NE. We highly recommend taking the metro to our office, as there is limited street parking. Paid parking is available.

What is a TME License? How do I get the certification?
A:
Trained Medication Employee is a license that is required to pass medications in the District of Columbia.
All Direct Support Professionals must be eligible to obtain a TME (Trained Medication Employee License). This license is given by the DC Board of Nursing granting certification for Direct Support Personnel to administer medication(s) while employed by a Residential Provider in the District of Columbia. All applicants must have this license or be eligible to apply before they will be considered for employment as a Direct Support Professional.
Classes are held by individual registered professional instructors certified by the DC Board of Nursing to perform this training. To get learn more about TME Certification click here.

What type of shifts are available for me?

RCM offers Full-time, Part-time, Weekend and On-calls shifts with various days of work to meet the needs of the business.

Do I have to work weekends?
A:
Yes, all employees must have the ability to work weekends to accommodate the needs of the individuals that we support and serve.

Can I come down and apply in the office?
A:
RCM of Washington does not accept walk-ins. All interested applicants must apply online.
Q:
How long is Orientation Training?
A:
All applicants offered conditional employment are required to attend a one-week training from 9:00AM to 5:00PM daily at our administration office. All trainings will include the Department on Disabilities Services required testing, as well as company-specific instruction.
Q:
What is required to be a Direct Support Professional?
A:
All Direct Support Professionals must possess a high school diploma, Certificate of Individual Educational Program (IEP) completion, General Educational Development (GED) certificate, or, if the person was educated in a foreign country, its equivalent. DSPs must be able to lift weights of at least sixty (60) pounds, pass a background check and drug screening, and be able to obtain a health certification endorsed by a physician. DSPs must be competent with written and spoken English and basic computer literacy. CPR/First Aid certifications are required but can be obtained during our initial orientation training.
Depending on the needs of the people we support, DSPs may require a valid driver’s license.
